OUR MISSION

The Colony Autism Advocacy Group was
founded in 2020 by Emmy Award-winning
songwriter and autism mom Bianca 'Blush'
Atterberry. Since then we have been helping
black and brown families throughout the
country find services and resources for their
loved ones on the autism spectrum.

It is important to us to ensure that black and
brown communities have access to the same
autism support and resources as other
communities. A 2017 study found that African-
American children are 5.1 times more likely to be
misdiagnosed with conduct disorders before
being diagnosed with ASD. We are here to help
lower those statistics!

At The Colony, we understand that every child
deserves the opportunity to access all the
services available to them and we are dedicated
to helping families in any way we can. We are
here to listen, provide support, and work
together with families to ensure that the needs of
their loved ones are being met.
